What is TweepCred?
TweepCred is π's PageRank-adapted reputation score, ranging from 0 to 100. It determines how many of your tweets the algorithm considers for distribution. Below 65, only about 3 of your tweets get a chance to be shown to others.
The 6 scoring factors
Follower/Following Ratio
0-30 pts
π penalizes accounts that follow many more people than follow them back. Above a 0.6 ratio with 500+ following triggers an exponential penalty.
Account Age
0-15 pts
Newer accounts have reduced trust. Full age benefit kicks in after ~30 days, with diminishing returns beyond that.
Engagement Quality
0-25 pts
Likes and especially replies signal your content resonates. This is weighted heavily β a high engagement rate can offset other weaknesses.
Activity Level
0-10 pts
Consistent posting and replying shows you're an active member of the platform. Aim for at least 1 post per day.
Premium Boost
0-16 pts
π Premium subscribers get a direct score boost: Basic (+4), Premium (+10), Premium+ (+16). This is often the easiest way to cross the 65 threshold.
Mobile App Usage
0-4 pts
Using π's mobile app gives a small bonus. The algorithm rewards users who engage with the native app experience.

If your TweepCred is below 65, π only considers about 3 of your tweets for distribution. Above 65, all your tweets are eligible. This single number can determine whether your content reaches your audience or gets buried.

Why is 65 the magic number?
In π's algorithm source code, accounts with a TweepCred below 65 have their tweet candidates reduced to approximately 3. Above 65, all your tweets are eligible for the ranking algorithm. It's the single most impactful threshold in π's distribution system.
Can I check someone else's score?
You can enter any public π handle and we'll look up their follower/following ratio and account age. However, engagement metrics and other factors will use default estimates since we can't see their detailed analytics.
How often does TweepCred update?
π recalculates TweepCred periodically (not in real-time). Changes to your follower ratio, engagement, and activity will reflect in your score over time, typically within days to weeks.
